Omaha is a community card game where the players combine their hole cards with the community cards on the table to make the best possible five-card hand. In Omaha there are four betting rounds. They are played in the exact way as in Texas Hold’em and also with the use of blinds and dealer button.
The big difference between Omaha and Texas Hold’em is that in Omaha you get four hole cards instead of two like in Texas Hold’em. In Omaha a player must use two of his hole cards with three of the five community cards to make a poker hand instead of as in Texas Hold’em where the players combine all seven cards to make a poker hand.
Omaha high is mostly played in pot limit structure, but sometimes though rarely in fixed limit.
In Pot Limit a player can bet up to the size of the pot. Minimum bet is either the size of the big blind or the size of a previous bet on the same betting round.
